International Specialized Exhibition "Import Substitution"
According to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation (dated April 21, 2018 No. 719-r), the international specialized exhibition “Import Substitution” is held annually with the assistance of federal executive bodies and government organizations.
The event is designed to demonstrate the potential of domestic enterprises and organizations for the production of competitive import-substituting goods and services, their application in various sectors of the Russian economy and their promotion on the international market.
High-quality products of domestic production can not only fully replace imported analogues in the domestic market, but also successfully compete with them abroad
A significant part of the exposition is occupied by collective stands of Russian regions, which represent enterprises, organizations and departments related to the development, production and implementation of import-substituting products.
The exhibition covers almost all sectors of the economy: engineering, metallurgy, fuel and energy and oil and gas complexes, science, information technology, medicine and pharmaceuticals, light industry, construction, transport and agricultural sectors, high-tech solutions in various fields of life, consumer goods and many others .
“Import substitution” contributes to the fulfillment of the tasks of the program of the same name set by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin before the Federal Assembly on December 4, 2014. The event is an effective platform for presenting the opportunities and achievements of Russian manufacturers in the field of import substitution both by expanding and establishing their own local production , and through reorientation to new foreign suppliers and partners.
Presented on the exposition are the latest technologies, promising developments and investment projects convincingly reflect the scientific, technical and production potential of our country.
Representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, heads of regions, state corporations and organizations who share experience in achieving specific results in the field of import substitution take part in the congress program of the project. “Import substitution” is a full-fledged discussion platform for dialogue between government representatives and Russian businessmen. The plenary meetings and round tables discuss a wide range of issues relating to economic development in various industries, the promotion of government import-substitution policies, the introduction of scientific achievements and developments to improve production processes.

The exhibition is aimed at supporting state policy to reduce dependence on imported goods and services, strengthening the position of Russian manufacturers in the world market. The project contributes to the organization of an effective dialogue between authorities and the business community, the expansion of cooperation between regions of the Russian Federation to assist domestic companies in the development and production of high-quality goods and services.
The event allows you to establish business contacts for the production and marketing of products, equipping enterprises with advanced import-substituting technologies, using the domestic digital software product in production processes and enterprise management.
The exhibition highlights the results of the activities of leading domestic institutions, provides an opportunity to demonstrate advanced industry technologies, get acquainted with the latest innovative solutions, exchange successful experience in achieving specific results in the field of import substitution. The project is focused on helping accelerate the development and implementation of scientific achievements in production, as well as on the implementation of industry-specific import substitution programs.
