Eastern Economic Forum
The Eastern Economic Forum was established by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in 2015. In accordance with the Decree, the Eastern Economic Forum is held annually in the city of Vladivostok.
WEF main objectives:
- Strengthening the ties of the international investment community, Russian business, federal, regional and local authorities;
- Comprehensive expert assessment of the economic potential of the Russian Far East, as well as improving the competitiveness and investment attractiveness of the region at the Russian and international levels;
- Presentation of new investment and business conditions: priority development areas, Vladivostok Free Port, state support for promising investment projects.
Every year, the Eastern Economic Forum becomes a place for discussion of key issues of the world economy, regional integration, the development of new industries and technologies, as well as global challenges facing Russia and other countries of the world.
The events of the Forum are traditionally held in the form of panel sessions, round tables, television debates, business breakfasts and business dialogues on Russian relations with various countries of the world.
The Forum’s business program includes a series of business dialogs with leading partner countries in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as with ASEAN, a key integration group of actively developing countries in Southeast Asia.
Within the framework of the WEF exhibition space, specific TORs, investment projects, and also measures taken by federal and regional authorities to develop the socio-economic, demographic and investment potential of the Far Eastern Federal District are traditionally presented.
In 2018, the following events were organized at the Forum venue:
- exhibition "Do business in the Far East";
- exhibition "Welcome to the Far East!";
- business areas of partners and WEF information partner studios;
- Forum photo exhibitors.
