The Eastern Economic Forum was established by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in 2015. In accordance with the Decree, the Eastern Economic Forum is held annually in the city of Vladivostok.
WEF main objectives:
Every year, the Eastern Economic Forum becomes a place for discussion of key issues of the world economy, regional integration, the development of new industries and technologies, as well as global challenges facing Russia and other countries of the world.
The events of the Forum are traditionally held in the form of panel sessions, round tables, television debates, business breakfasts and business dialogues on Russian relations with various countries of the world.
The Forum’s business program includes a series of business dialogs with leading partner countries in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as with ASEAN, a key integration group of actively developing countries in Southeast Asia.
Within the framework of the WEF exhibition space, specific TORs, investment projects, and also measures taken by federal and regional authorities to develop the socio-economic, demographic and investment potential of the Far Eastern Federal District are traditionally presented.
